Jordan dropped to third place in race two
Andrew Jordan has been demoted to third in race two for short-cutting the final chicane when passing Gordon Shedden, with Honda effectively picking up another 1-2 result in race two.
The Eurotech Racing driver was deemed by the officials to have gained an unfair advantage through Club which gave him a great run on the Honda driver, taking second place on lap 10 of 16 during Round 8 at Thruxton.
Jordan was given a 1.3 second penalty, which drops him back between Shedden and Chilton to third place in the official results for race two.
Under the BTCC’s sporting regulations, Jordan will still carry the success ballast from finishing second, so will run with 36kg for the final race, where he will now start seventh on the grid after the top nine are reversed.
