Third victory of 2011 for Mat Jackson
Mat Jackson won the third race at Croft today, his third victory of the year. The Motorbase driver crossed the line just tenths ahead of West Surrey Racing duo Nick Foster and Rob Collard.
Collard, who started sixth, was up in second at the end of the race and put hard pressure on Jackson. As Collard was not able to get past in to the lead, the BMW driver let his team mate Foster past to score his best ever BTCC result.
Andrew Jordan crossed the line as fourth, a further ten seconds behind the to trio, with fellow Vauxhall driver James Nash in fifth.
Honda duo Gordon Shedden and previous race winner Matt Neal occupied places six and seven, ahead of Alex MacDowall and Tom Chilton, with Dave Newsham rounding off top ten in the Special Tuning SEAT León.
Jason Plato started last after his race two DNF and was only able to climb to 11th in the race.
