Turbo boost changed again for BTCC

The British Touring Car Championship organisers have lowered the turbo boost for NGTC engined S2000 cars with 0.05 bar ahead of the upcoming round at Snetterton.

The reduction was initially announced ahead of the Croft round, but then as a suspended reduction which was not implemented until now.

The decision for the boost reduction was taken after “…a full and detailed analysis of technical data submitted by teams, engine builders and input from independent expert technical consultants.”

The BTCC organiser TOCA also announced that:

“The Administrator reserves the right to promptly implement the withdrawal of part, or all, of this revised boost limit to individual cars at any time during the course of an event if/when deemed required – given that the 24hr notice period has herewith been communicated.”
