Boardman and Wrathall to miss third race

Tom Boardman and Frank Wrathall will be absent from the grid for the final race of the day after mechanical issues with their SEAT and Toyota cars.

Tom Boardman had qualified last after an engine failure on his first lap in qualifying, and had made good progress in the first race to be up to tenth place before a repeat of the issue.

With no more spares, Boardman’s car was withdrawn from races two and three.

Wrathall, who took the independents’ class win and was battling with Jason Plato for a podium in race two is also out of the race. The overheating problem which saw him retire has proven terminal for the Dynojet Racing Toyota Avensis.
