Shedden ahead of Chilton again at Knockhill
Knockhill home racer Gordon Shedden was once again fastest in the second practice session at Knockhill, again, with Tom Chilton in second. The distance has decreased between them this time though, with Chilton being just over one tenth behind.
Frank Wrathall showed promising form in the NGTC specification Toyota Avensis in third, just 0.031 seconds slower than Chilton.
Championship leader Mat Jackson claimed fourth ahead of Matt Neal and Proton driver Daniel Welch.
Tom Onslow-Cole set the seventh fastest time, just over half a second behind Shedden, with James Nash in eighth, Rob Collard in ninth and Andrew Jordan in tenth.
Jason Plato missed the top ten with a mere 0.047 seconds in 11th, right ahead of his team mate Alex MacDowall.
The session was interrupted several times, with, among others, Andy Neate and Nash going off in to the gravel at Leslie’s bend.
Qualifying starts at 16.05 with dry weather forecasted compared to the slippery conditions of the first two practice sessions.
