New penalty for bad on-track behavior

The BTCC organisation today announced a new “three strikes” grid penalty for bad on-track behavior, set for introduction next year.

If a driver receives three penalties for driving offenses, the driver will automatically get a six-place grid drop, no matter the degree of the previous penalties.

The penalty will be applied in the first available race after the driver received the third penalty.
