Andrew Jordan gets Daytona drive
Reigning independent BTCC champion Andrew Jordan is going to take part in a support race to the upcoming Daytona 24 Hour race on the 26/27th of January.
“I want to seize any opportunity like this that comes along,” said Jordan.
The Brit is going to drive a Honda Civic Si together with James Colborn for Compass360 Racing.
“It will be a fantastic chance to race on the high-banks of the famed Daytona Speedway and I know I will learn a lot from racing in a different country. Racing at Daytona has always been one of my ambitions and I hope that this drive could lead to the chance to tackle the 24-hour race one day,” said Jordan.
Compass360 Racing fields two Hondas for the race and Jordan will drive the #77 car under the name Team Seattle, benefiting the Cardiac Care Unit at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
“I’m thrilled to have been invited to race for the team and I’m determined to repay their faith in me with a good result. However, helping them to raise more money for the charity is the first objective. For me, it is also a great chance to broaden my experience, which can only be good for our 2013 BTCC campaign with Pirtek Racing,” said Jordan.
