Team Hard signs Jack Goff for Vauxhall Insignia

Team Hard has signed 2012 Clio Cup UK champion Jack Goff to drive a Vauxhall Insignia in the 2013 British Touring Car Championship.
“It’s a dream come true and I’m massively excited about it. I’ve seen what the team is doing with these cars – it is a complete redevelopment – and I’m confident about my debut season in the BTCC,” said Goff to btcc.net

The 21-year-old has driven three seasons in Clio Cup, finishing ninth in 2010, fifth in 2011 and first this year with two victories and four pole positions. Goff is hoping to start off strongly in his first ever BTCC season.
“I’m staying realistic but two of my previous team-mates from Clios, Dave Newsham and Aron Smith, have both won races in the BTCC in 2012. I was a match for them in Clios so I’ll be looking to emulate that in 2013,” said Goff.

Team Hard is planning to enter two Insignias and two Volkswagen Passat CCs in the BTCC next year and team owner Tony Gilham is pleased to have Goff onboard as one of the four drivers.
“Jack is really on a roll having just won the Clio Cup in front of the BTCC crowds and he’s just the sort of driver we want in our team as we build for the future. He is tremendously talented and, for his age, also extremely mature in his approach. He is definitely going to be a name to watch for in 2013,” said Gilham.
