Mat Jackson punished for race three collision at Croft

Motorbase Performance driver Mat Jackson has been given a three point endorsement on his racing licence and a £500 fine for contact with Dan Welch’s Proton Persona in the wet final race of the day at Croft.

Jackson was making up ground after starting 24th after not finishing the second race, and went straight across the final corner on the second lap of the race and hit Welch’s Proton in an incident which Jackson’s team-mate Jake Hill was also involved and sustained damage. Both Welch and Hill immediately pulled into the pits and retired from the race.

Jackson was able to continue and went on to finish in 13th place, but has been given a three point endorsement on his racing licence for the incident as well as fined £500.
