Picture Gallery: BTCC test at Snetterton
The majority of the British Touring Car Championship field took to Snetterton yesterday for the first half of a two-day test session, held under hot, sunny skies at the Norfolk circuit.
Taking their first runs in NGTC machinery were factory Porsche driver Nick Tandy, driving the third Motorbase Performance Ford Focus, plus Howard Fuller and American Robb Holland, in the Tony Gilham Racing Vauxhall Insignia vacated by James Cole.
The Insignia was sporting a new livery, as was the fellow Tony Gilham Racing driver Tom Onslow-Cole’s Volkswagen CC.
The test also saw a return to the cockpit for Eurotech Racing team boss Mike Jordan, who drove his team’s second Honda Civic in the absence of Jeff Smith.
Speedworks Motorsport also ran two new drivers, Ian Loggie and Chris Jones.
The most notable absentees from the test were Honda Racing Team, who will be at Snetterton later this month, along with Ciceley Racing’s Adam Morgan.
