Aron Smith and Nick Foster penalised for driving infractions

Motorbase Performance’s Aron Smith and West Surrey Racing’s Nick Foster were both punished for driving infractions at Knockhill, with Smith earning a six-place grid drop for the next round at Rockingham.

Nick Foster was given a reprimand for the contact with Paul O’Neill’s Tony Gilham Racing Vauxhall coming out of the hairpin on lap eight of the first race, whilst Aron Smith earned himself a three point endorsement on his licence and a £500 fine for the incident with IP Tech Race Engineering’s Mike Bushell, which saw Bushell’s race ended with a broken steering arm, and also a reprimand snd a further two points for his move on Team BMR Restart’s Warren Scott, both incidents from race three.

As this is Smith’s third driving infrigement of the season, after receiving a reprimand back in April at Donington Park, the Motorbase Performance driver will drop six places from wherever he qualifies at the next round at the Rockingham circuit on September 15th.
