Sam Tordoff to stay with Triple Eight in 2014
Sam Tordoff will remain with Triple Eight Race Engineering for the 2014 British Touring Car Championship season, teaming up with Jason Plato in the two KX Momentum backed cars, with new team-mate Marc Hynes joining them in a third MG6 run under the Triple Eight banner.
Tordoff took a race win on his debut season at Snetterton last year, leading home team-mate Jason Plato, and will continue to compete with the Oxfordshire-based team which increases to a three-car effort for the first time since 2009 when they fielded Vauxhall Vectras for Fabrizio Giovanardi, Matt Neal and Andrew Jordan.
“I am absolutely delighted to return to MG and the KX Akademy,” said Tordoff to AUTOSPORT.
“This outcome is the perfect scenario and the continuation I have of keeping the same people around me for 2014 will no doubt be highly beneficial.”
