Soft tyre choices announced for Knockhill

The soft tyre choices have been announced for today’s three BTCC races at Knockhill.

Bright, sunny skies have greeted the large crowd which has flocked north of the border this weekend, with no rain expected during the day. As such, it means the tyre choices are unlikely to be dictated by bad weather later on.

Front row starter Rob Austin is the highest placed starter on the soft tyres in the first race, with Matt Neal also opting for the same rubber.

Unusually, more drivers have chosen to run the soft rubber in the second race than the third.

The choices for the three races are as follows:

Race One: Matt Neal, Jack Goff, Adam Morgan, Hunter Abbott, Rob Austin, Marc Hynes.

Race Two: Andrew Jordan, Colin Turkington, Mat Jackson, Fabrizio Giovanardi, Simon Belcher, Glynn Geddie, Chris Stockton, Martin Depper, Warren Scott, Lea Wood, Jack Clarke, Ollie Jackson, Tom Ingram.

Race Three: Alain Menu, Rob Collard, Dan Welch, Aiden Moffat, Dave Newsham, James Cole, Aron Smith, Gordon Shedden, Robb Holland, Sam Tordoff, Jason Plato.
