Soft tyre choices announced for Silverstone

The soft tyre choices have been announced for today’s three BTCC races on the Silverstone national circuit.

In a change from the usual strategy employed by the drivers, the majority have opted to run the softer compound in the first race, which gets under way at 11.57 BST.

The tyre choices are as follows:

Race one: Andrew Jordan, Matt Neal, Alain Menu, Dave Newsham, Chris Stockton, Jack Goff, Adam Morgan, Aron Smith, Lea Wood, Gordon Shedden, Hunter Abbott, Robb Holland, Tom Ingram, Sam Tordoff, Rob Austin.

Race two: Colin Turkington, Mat Jackson, Fabrizio Giovanardi, Rob Collard, Simon Belcher, Martin Depper, Warren Scott, Jack Clarke.

Race three: Dan Welch, Aiden Moffat, Nick Foster, James Cole, Luke Hines, Ollie Jackson, Jason Plato, Marc Hynes.
