Matt Neal keeps Donington win after Triple Eight appeal rejected

Matt Neal will keep his win from the third race at Donington Park after Triple Eight Racing’s final appeal against him was rejected by series officials.

The factory MG squad argued that Honda Racing Team’s Neal’s made an unfair move to pass Andrew Jordan at McLeans, but the result was upheld.

Triple Eight appealed this decision, and a hearing was scheduled for this weekend at Thruxton. This has now taken place, and the decision went in favour of Neal.

This means Neal maintains his championship lead heading into the weekend, and will carry the maximum 75kg ballast throughout practice, qualifying and the first race.
