Colin Turkington takes pole for second Snetterton race
Team BMR’s Colin Turkington will start on pole for the second BTCC race at Snetterton this afternoon, after complementing his first race win by also setting fastest lap.
Turkington’s Volkswagen CC will be joined on the front row by West Surrey Racing’s Sam Tordoff, who set a laptime 0.183 slower than the reigning champion despite only finishing 11th.
Ciceley Racing’s Adam Morgan set the third best time ahead of Triple Eight Racing’s Jack Goff and new championship leader Jason Plato, with Andy Priaulx, Aron Smith, Andrew Jordan, Tom Ingram and Dave Newsham rounding out the top 10.
The Honda Racing Team duo of Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal both failed to make the top 10, and will line up 11th and 12th for the next race.
