Aiden Moffat declared fit to race at Knockhill

Aiden Moffat has been declared fit to race in the British Touring Car Championship races at Knockhill this weekend after suffering a concussion from an incident at Snetterton two weeks ago.

”Snetterton was looking very promising for us. We had a test session on Wednesday and we tried a big setup change on the car, which suited me very well. From the changes we were posting very quick times and consistently too. We tried going further with the changes for FP2 and that, combined with possibly pushing too hard/too soon, led to the crash,” said Moffat.

The Scot was declared fit to race this morning by the BTCC Medical Director Dr Paul Trafford, meaning that he will drive the #16 Mercedes-Benz A Class this weekend.

”So absolutely delighted to back at Knockhill this weekend! The car has been repaired and now sports my favourite Knockhill set up. The team has worked very hard to make sure everything is ready for racing at our favourite circuit and the support and good wishes I’ve had from the fans and fellow BTCC drivers and team members has been amazing — I’m certainly ready to bounce back this weekend!” said Moffat.
