Warren Scott suffers fractured vertebrae in FP1 crash

Warren Scott has suffered two fractured vertebrae in his accident at the end of FP1 at Silverstone.

The Team BMR owner/driver brought out the red flag at the end of the opening session of the day, having set the third fastest time, with a major accident at the exit of Copse Corner.

Scott was then taken to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, but may return to the circuit later today. The full extent of his injuries and recovery times are not yet known, but he will not be competing for the remainder of this weekend.

The team will provide further information in the coming days.
