Adam Morgan left confused after tough Saturday at Oulton Park
After qualifying down in 27th, Adam Morgan was left disappointed with his Saturday performance at Oulton Park, putting him on the back foot from the outset.
The Ciceley Racing driver struggled all day for pace and had to settle for the 14th row come the chequered flag in qualifying.
“We don’t really know what the problem is to be honest,” admitted Morgan to TouringCarTimes. “27th on the grid isn’t ideal but yeah we’re not sure. We can’t find it, we’ve had it all day really, it’ll be a long night tonight scratching our heads trying to find the solution.”
With Oulton Park being notoriously difficult to pass, Morgan knows there’s a tough task ahead of him if he’s to take anything away from the fourth weekend of the BTCC season.
“I think it’s a case of suck it and see,” he continued. “Hopefully a few people might fall off, but if we find a solution and I have every faith in the team that they will, [engineer] Marco [Calovolo’s] brilliant and if we can get it right they’ll get it right. Where I am on the grid, it is a difficult place to overtake but I’ve got my head on and I’m going to do my best to move forward.”
