Subaru’s Colin Turkington confident heading to Snetterton both tested and rested

Following the summer break, two-time British Touring Car Championship drivers’ champion Colin Turkington is looking forward to the race weekend at Snetterton, where the Subaru Team BMR outfit have tested extensively, the first circuit on the calendar at which they’ve had that opportunity.

Turkington has taken pole position and the last two Race 1 victories in the championship, and will again head into the weekend on 0kg ballast courtesy of his relatively lowly championship position of 11th due to a tough start to the season and the team’s absence from Thruxton.

“We made considerable progress with the Levorg in the most recent races, despite limited testing and difficult circumstances,” said Turkington. “It was fantastic to finish the first half of the season with two wins and some valuable test miles.

“It was a career highlight to deliver the first ever win for Subaru in the BTCC and I’m hoping to further reward the team, my partners and fans with continued form.

“This will be the first event we arrive to having had a test day at the venue and that should help speed up our progress over the weekend. I’ve done all my homework and I’ll arrive to the track on Friday ready to push the project forward again.”
