Croft qualifying suspended following multi-car incident

Qualifying for the fifth meeting of the BTCC season at Croft has been suspended following a multi-car incident on the exit of Barcroft.

The incident nine minutes into the 30 minute session saw a number of cars go off at one of the quickest parts of the circuit, with the cars of Luke Davenport, Aron Taylor-Smith and Jeff Smith all sustaining heavy damage.

Andrew Jordan, Ashley Sutton, Stephen Jelley, Jack Goff, Adam Morgan, Ollie Jackson and Ant Whorton-Eales were also involved to varying degrees.

Taylor-Smith has been taken to the medical centre, with work ongoing at the scene of the incident to extricate both Davenport and Smith from their damaged cars.
