Six drivers penalised after Croft

Six drivers were hit with penalties after the latest three rounds of the BTCC at Croft, which saw Ash Sutton, Colin Turkington and Mat Jackson take a win apiece.

Half of the penalties came from the opening race of the weekend, with AmDTuning.com’s Ollie Jackson being handed a 10.4sec penalty that dropped from eleventh to 13th in the results after being deemed guilty of gaining an unfair advantage over Rob Austin and Jake Hill.

Hill himself was handed a verbal warning for gaining an unfair advantage over Stephen Jelley, with Team BMR’s Josh Price handed a similar penalty for contact with the Honda of Matt Neal.

Returning MG driver Josh Cook was given a verbal warning for contact with Tom Ingram’s Toyota in race two, with the same penalty being given to Andrew Jordan for gaining an unfair advantage over Mat Jackson.

Rob Austin was then given a verbal warning for an incident with Jake Hill.

No penalties were handed out following the final race of the weekend.
