Jens Reno Møller to enter TCR Europe with a brand-new Honda Civic

Danish driver Jens Reno Møller has confirmed he will enter the new TCR Europe Series this year, and will upgrade from his ninth-generation Honda Civic TCR to a new FK8 model, becoming the first Honda driver confirmed for the new series.

The 47-year-old contested the European rounds of last year’s TCR International Series, with a best result of third at the Hungaroring in his privately entered car, which was rebuilt overnight after he crashed out in qualifying, but was able to take the start from the reversed grid pole position on race day.

“I hope to step up this year,” said Møller. “2017 was my learning season in TCR and after having been able to claim my first podium, I expect to be in the first part of the field this year. I will be aiming for a top-five result in the championship. But it looks like that it is going to be tough, as the level will be pretty much the same as last year in TCR International,” he added.

“We will also make an effort to upgrade the team’s presence as we have a new main sponsor – ‘Blend’ a Danish clothing Company for youngsters – and they will follow me in some event with their tour bus to make promotion. I am really looking forward to the new season and I know that I will have fun and enjoy the close races.”

Møller will take delivery of his new Honda Civic TCR FK8 Type R next Thursday from builders JAS Motorsport, and then begin testing the car at Autodromo Nazionale Monza.
