Teams hit the track for Brands Hatch test

A number of teams from the British Touring Car Championship have hit the track at Brands Hatch as testing continues ahead of the 2018 season.

West Surrey Racing, Team Dynamics, Motorbase, HMS Racing and Team Parker have spent the day turning laps at the circuit that will play host to the opening rounds of the season next month.

The test saw the West Surrey Racing cars of Colin Turkington and Rob Collard running in their revised colour scheme for the first time, with the latter sharing his car with son Ricky – who got more time behind the wheel during the morning.

Andrew Jordan gave an indication of the different colours that will adorn his Pirtek-backed BMW meanwhile, with his car running in plain blue as opposed to the chrome blue seen in recent seasons.

Stephen Jelley’s Team Parker-run BMW and the Alfa Romeo Giulietta of Rob Austin as well as the Motorbase Fords of Tom Chilton, James Cole and Sam Tordoff gained more valuable testing mileage whilst Honda pair Dan Cammish and Matt Neal shared the sole Honda Civic Type-R in action.
