Dusan Borkovic excluded from Monza event

Dušan Borković has been excluded from the entire Monza round of the TCR Europe series season following the Serbian’s fight with a relative of title rival Mikel Azcona after the second race.

The Target Competition driver therefore loses the ten points he had scored in Race 1, which leaves him 30 points off Azcona in the championship with 55 remaining from the final round.

Borković is also now eleven points behind Jean-Karl Vernay in the title race.

The exclusion has also affected the teams’ standings, with Target Competition’s advantage over KCMG cut to seven points.

TouringCarTimes understands this could well not be the only penalty the Serbian is facing, with stewards having decided to report Borković to the the series’ sporting authority, FPAK (Federação Portuguesa de Automobilismo e Karting), which is the body that rules the TCR Europe series.
