Team Dynamics evaluating support series move

Team Dynamics has revealed plans to expand its involvement in the BTCC to include an entry into the supporting Porsche Carrera Cup.

The team behind Honda’s championship-winning programme is evaluating a potential two-car entry in the series, with a move to new state-of-the-art premises in Droitwich opening up the possibility of adding further programmes to the team’s existing on-track activities.

As well as the two-car BTCC programme, Team Dynamics is also active in the MINI Challenge and in the historic arena, and is also starting development on a new race simulator to aid potential drivers.

Multiple Porsche champion Dan Cammish joined Team Dynamics at the start of 2018, giving the team immediate experience of the category.

“With the slickly run Porsche Carrera Cup GB being on the same calendar as BTCC we feel this is the ideal opportunity for us to get involved,” Team Dynamics chairman Steve Neal said. “We now have one of the premier motorsport facilities in the UK with state of the art, purpose built premises which will enable us to run the program alongside our BTCC and Historic race cars!

“Any drivers interested in joining our campaign will benefit from not only Dan’s experience, his coaching and mentoring capability, but also our proven technical resource in race vehicle preparation, operation and management.

“In addition to this we are developing our own in-house race simulator and there could be an opportunity to test in one of our team’s latest spec BTCC FK8 Honda Civic Type Rs.”

A number of BTCC teams have expanded into the support series in recent seasons, with the likes of Ciceley Motorsport and Motorbase having run parallel programmes.
