Mark Blundell reveals HP sponsorship deal

Former F1 racer Mark Blundell has unveiled HP as the major blue-chip backer for his debut season in the British Touring Car Championship.

Blundell will make his return to racing this year at the wheel of a Trade Price Cars Racing Audi S3 having been announced as team-mate to Jake Hill earlier this month.

Global technology giant HP will act a primary sponsor of Blundell’s car in what will be its first foray into the series, with the 52-year-old excited to confirm the new partnership.

“I am delighted to be working alongside HP across the 2019 BTCC season in what promises to be a year of firsts for us all!” he said. “Coming into a new series is a difficult challenge at the best of times but I am hoping that my experience coupled with HP’s enthusiasm will make it a really memorable year.

“HP’s success across the globe has been built upon a desire to reinvent what is possible at every turn, something I will be doing at every opportunity both on and off the track this year!”

Neil MacDonald, UK and Ireland Consumer Director at HP, was also delighted to announce the move into the BTCC.

“Mark’s return to the elite-level competition has certainly caught the attention and HP is delighted to be supporting him and his team this year,” he said. “The British Touring Car Championship has been a leading spectacle for UK sports fans for over sixty years now and we are looking forward to maximising the opportunities that our partnership will provide.”
