Soft tyre choices revealed for Brands Hatch season opener

The Dunlop tyre choices for the opening BTCC round of the season at Brands Hatch have been confirmed, with the leading drivers adopting different approaches.

Pole sitter Ash Sutton has elected to run the soft tyre at the first opportunity whereas Jason Plato alongside him on the front row will run the soft tyre in race two.

Defending champion Colin Turkington will, like Sutton, run the soft tyre in race one with Andrew Jordan amongst those drivers to go with the final race of the weekend – as do both of the Team Dynamics Hondas.

Revised tyre rules are in place this season, with two rounds at Thruxton that will see the field run on the hard tyres.

There will also be a change at Snetterton, where drivers will have to run each compound once on race day.
