Touring Car Trophy confirms 2019 calendar

The Touring Car Trophy has confirmed its calendar for the 2019 season, which will incorporate the TCR UK Touring Car Championship as a sub-class for this season.

The new calendar incorporates some of the original TCR UK championship calendar. As reported previously, the Snetterton round which was scheduled to be the season opener on April 20th-21st has been dropped, with the championship starting instead with the one-day event at Oulton Park on May 11th.

The second event of the calendar will be a new support event for the British GT Championship at the Donington Park circuit on June 22nd-23rd.

The remaining three rounds of the season will be as per the original TCR UK championship calendar, save for the Silverstone round on September 7th-8th, which has now been dropped.

The scheduled round at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit with the TCR Europe Touring Car Series on June 8th-9th will remain on the calendar, but is now an invitational event, with no championship points awarded.
