Josh Files goes to the back for Spa Race 2 following engine change

Target Competition driver Josh Files will start from last for tomorrow’s second race at Spa-Francorchamps, after the Italian team have opted to change the engine on his Hyundai i30 N TCR.

Following a high-speed crash in qualifying this morning at Raidillon, Files qualified down in 33rd of 34 cars for Race 1, with the team successfully repairing the car ahead of the first race.

Files made his way up to 22nd place after one lap, and was working his way forward before he stopped with a puncture.

With Files set to only lose one grid position, to the PSS Racing Team Honda of Viktor Davidovski, the team have opted to change the engine on his car ahead of tomorrow’s race at midday.

Files will still start 33rd, with the grid now down to 33 cars following the withdrawal of Lilou Wadoux’s Peugeot 308TCR.
