Mike and Michelle Halder move from TCR Germany to TCR Europe

Mike and Michelle Halder have confirmed their move to the TCR Europe series after leaving the TCR Germany championship under controversial circumstances during the previous round at the Nürburgring.

“I always had TCR Europe on my agenda as a follow-up and only the missing title in TCR Germany had kept me away from this step so far, but now we think the time has come for us to move ahead,” said Mike Halder.

“And we want to thank Profi Car for confirming their support and following us in this new adventure.”

Profi Car Team Halder driver Mike Halder finished the first race at the Nürburgring in second place behind the non-scoring guest driver Norbert Michelisz, effectively winning the race.

But the Honda driver was disqualified after the race for switching off his fire extinguisher in parc ferme.

The decision upset Mike and Michelle Halder to the extent that the team left the circuit and announced its withdrawal from the championship effective immediately.

The siblings will continue to drive their pair of Honda Civic Type-R TCR race cars in TCR Europe that starts this weekend at Paul Ricard in France.
