Tom Ingram, Senna Proctor excluded from Croft qualifying

Tom Ingram and Senna Proctor have both been excluded from qualifying for the latest round of the BTCC season at Croft after failing post-session checks.

Ingram had qualified on pole in his Toyota Corolla with Proctor directly behind in third in his EXCELR8 Hyundai after a session that featured two red flags and challenging conditions thanks to heavy rain before the start.

Ingram’s pole was called into question immediately after the session finished when the Speedworks-run Corolla failed the ride height test, with Proctor also falling foul of the same problem when his car was called forward for checks.

The double exclusion means Josh Cook has now inherited pole for BTC Racing, with Jake Hill promoted onto the front row of the grid in his MB Motorsport-run Honda.

Other notable moves mean Bobby Thompson will now start from fifth place, his best qualifying result by far, with Ash Sutton sixth despite losing his best time for causing the second of two red flags.

Ingram and Proctor will start together on the back row of the grid for the opening race.
