Augusto Farfus: “He completely squeezed me into the wall”

Hyundai driver Augusto Farfus took a controversial victory in the PURE ETCR Super Final A after an incident with Zengo Motorsport driver Mikel Azcona, with the Spaniard ending his race in the gravel trap.

“The whole race was a battle,” said Farfus after the race. “I was coming with power-up to pass Mikel on the main straight and he completely squeezed me into the wall.

“I think we all want to see hard battles,” added the Brazilian. “We hooked each other on the outside of Turn 4 and then I don’t know how he ended up in the gravel.”

The incident is being investigated by the stewards, with Azcona claiming that Farfus didn’t leave him any space.
