JamSport adds Cupra for Simon Tomlinson

JamSport Racing is set to field at least three cars for the 2022 TCR UK Championship after Simon Tomlinson became the latest driver to confirm his place on the grid for the new campaign.

Tomlinson – a former winner of the VAG Trophy and long-time competitor in the Volkswagen Racing Cup – will drive a Cupra TCR that will be run by JamSport alongside the two Subaru Impreza TCRs it is currently planning to run.

Former BTCC racer Ant Whorton-Eales is already confirmed in the first of the Subarus.

“I’m really looking forward to the season ahead, with a new car and new team in a championship that is new to all of us,” Tomlinson said

“I’m sure that with the help of team principal Jamie Going and team-mate Ant Whorton-Eales, I’m going to have the support I need to quickly get up to speed with the Cupra TCR.

“I’m also delighted with the way the car looks in its new Molson livery, thanks to Joyce Design.”
