Russell Joyce to race PMR Cupra

Russell Joyce has become the latest driver to announce plans to compete in the 2022 TCR UK season.

Joyce will be at the wheel of a Cupra TCR run by Power Maxed Racing as he makes the move up into touring cars, having previously raced in the VW Racing Cup with the same team.

“Over the past six years, I have been developing my race craft with Power Maxed Racing,” he said. “Working with one of the UK’s leading race teams has shown great benefits and delivered plenty of silverware to date, which I hope will continue into 2022.

“It’s incredibly exciting to be competing this season in top-flight motorsport. This next chapter may well prove to be my most challenging yet.

“Whilst the cars are equally matched with the TCR balance of performance criteria applied, selecting and refining the correct set-up from the thousands available will be paramount. I’ve been testing the Cupra and I’m pleased to report that every outing is showing improvements.”
