Dusan Borković to make TCR Europe return

Dusan Borković will make a return to the TCR Europe grid this season after inking a deal to join Target Competition.

Borković raced with the Italian squad in both 2018 and 2019, taking third spot in his first year in the series with three wins.

However, his 2019 programme would come to an early end due to an off-track incident at the Red Bull Ring.

The Serbian racer makes his return to the series at the wheel of a Hyundai Elantra, with his goal being to try and secure a place in the TCR World Final at the end of the campaign.

“I am very excited to get back to TCR Europe, participate in the inaugural World Rankings and especially considering that the series will run three joint events with the new TCR World Tour,” he said.

“The scoring system is much simpler than it seems. Often when explaining to my friends, I compare it to the scoring mechanism of the ATP rankings in tennis and then it becomes much clearer.

“My Team Borkovic and I always strive to keep up with the world motorsport scene in order to present all our partners and my country Serbia in the best possible way. A big challenge is ahead of us, but we are ready to give every atom of strength to reach the finals.”

The current TCR Europe grid can be found on the TouringCarTimes Grid Projections page.
