Max Hart makes surprise Chinese move

Max Hart has agreed a surprise deal that will see him join the TCR China grid for the 2023 season.

The Irish driver secured multiple race wins during a three-year stint in TCR UK before bringing his 2022 campaign to an early end, and has since gone on to compete in the GT Cup series at the wheel of a GT4-spec McLaren.

Hart will now continue his touring car career in Asia with the Z Speed Motorsport team, driving a Hyundai Elantra N in the six-round season that kicks off in little over a week.

“I’m excited about this one!” he said. “I have always gone well in TCR cars and I feel confident that this will stand to me when I race in China.

“I have been practising the circuits on my sim and training hard too. I can’t wait to get going. A huge thanks to my sponsors who make all this possible!”
