Dam Cammish keeps Ford on top at Snetterton
Dan Cammish headed another NAPA Racing UK one-two in the second free practice session of the weekend at Snetterton ahead of round three of the BTCC season.
Cammish failed to match the time set by Ash Sutton earlier in the day but found himself out front ahead of team-mate Dan Rowbottom as the Ford Focus remained the car to beat at the Norfolk circuit, with only Jake Hill managing to get amongst them at the front.
Hill was third fastest and best of the rear-wheel drive cars, with a gap of two-tenths of a second back to Sutton in fourth and then Sam Osborne – putting all four of the Motorbase-run cars towards the front.
Josh Cook showed vastly improved pace in his One Motorsport Honda to round out the top six, with Tom Chilton, Stephen Jelley, Tom Ingram and Colin Turkington rounded out the top ten.
Nick Halstead was able to take part in the session after an engine change on his Hyundai, with Bobby Thompson’s Cupra missing this time around due to engine problems of its own.
