Second Vauxhall to complete 2023 season

Jeff Alden will make his return to TCR UK series this weekend at Silverstone after inking a deal to compete at the wheel of a Vauxhall Astra

Alden will run under the Matrix Motorsport with DW Racing banner for the final three meetings of the campaign – which also includes events at Donington Park and Brands Hatch – as he evaluates a full season in the series next year.

The former VW Cup and Civic racer previously competed in what was then known as the Touring Car Trophy during the 2020 season finale at Donington Park, scoring a best finish of sixth in a Honda Civic.



“I’m excited to make the move up to TCR UK, at a time when it’s clear that the championship itself is turning heads with its on-track product and increased exposure,” he said.

“I’ll be using each event as a chance to learn the car, get used to the environment and focus on lap times and race positions, rather than scoring championship points,” explained Jeff.



“I’m planning the long game, looking ahead to next year, using Silverstone, Donington Park and Brands Hatch as preparation for a full season entry in next year’s TCR UK Touring Car Championship.”
