Team HARD drops to five for Donington GP

Team HARD has confirmed that it will drop to five cars at Donington Park for the latest rounds of the BTCC season this weekend.

One of the two Cupra Leons entered under the Go-Fix with Autoaid Breakdown name has been withdrawn from the meeting, with the car having started the season in the hands of Nic Hamilton before being taken over by Rob Huff at Knockhill.

With Hamilton having split with the team and Huff unavailable due to commitments with the Comtoyou Audi team in the TCR World Tour, another driver was required who could step in to fill the seat for the remainder of the season.

Under current TBL rules, teams can only make more than one change of driver unless in genuine cases of force majeure, with ‘all existing TBL holders and TOCA are satisfied that every attempt has been made by the team to meet its entry obligations’ for the Donington meeting.

The car is therefore permitted to miss one event under force majeure, with plans for the final two rounds to be announced in due course.
