Vervisch and Girolami handed post-race penalties

Frédéric Vervisch and Néstor Girolami have been hit with post-race penalties following the joint second TCR World Tour and TCR Australia race at Mount Panorama Circuit.

Comtoyou Racing driver Vervisch was handed five-second penalty for contact with Yann Ehrlacher in the closing stages of the race, dropping him from fifth to seventh position.

Wall Racing driver Girolami was also handed a five-second penalty for contact with Ehrlacher, this incident happening at The Chase on the last lap where the Lynk & Co driver was pushed off track. Girolami is dropped from sixth to ninth.

The penalties elevates Ehrlacher to fifth, Santiago Urrutia to sixth and Tony D’Alberto to eighth.

Also penalised was Lachlan Mineeff, dropped to 14th position.

Teddy Clairet was disqualified from the race as his Peugeot 308TCR was found to be underweight.
