TCR World Tour debut for French duo Chauvin and Weyrich

French drivers Gilles Chauvin and Victor Weyrich will make their FIA TCR World Tour debuts this weekend at Paul Ricard, with both set to compete in CUPRA Leon VZ machinery in two different teams.

Chauvin arrives following several successful seasons in the FFSA TC France championship with SP Compétition.

The Frenchman finished third in the 2025 standings, claiming a race victory at Magny-Cours, and currently sits fifth in this year’s championship after securing three podium finishes.

Joining him on the grid is 27-year-old Weyrich, who has built his career in GT and one-make competition. After racing in Porsche Cup and GT4, Weyrich finished runner-up in the 2025 Alpine Elf Cup before switching to touring cars this season.

The Frenchman is contesting the 2026 TCR Europe season with Herrero Racing and scored his first championship points at Le Castellet two weeks ago with a fourth-place finish in the opening race.
