Audi RS 3 LMS gets FIA TCR World Tour weight break
The Audi RS 3 LMS model will get a weight reduction of 20kg in the unique Balance of Performance calculation for the FIA TCR World Tour.
The reduction brings the Audi down to a minimum weight of 1225kg, same as the Cupra but 70kg lighter than the Hyundai Elantra N EV TCR and the Geely Preface TCR – the two models carrying the most weight currently.
The Audi was fielded by Vannin Motorsport during the previous FIA TCR World Tour round at Valencia for drivers Luke Sargeant and Manuel Fernandes.
There is so far no official confirmation on Audi entries for the coming round at Paul Ricard in France on July 4-5.
The Audi RS 3 LMS remains at 1265kg in the BoP calculations outside of the FIA TCR World Tour.
