Ignacio Montenegro confirms 2024 TCR Europe and Spain programme

Newly crowned TCR South America champion Ignacio Montenegro will race in TCR Europe and TCR Spain next year.

“First of all, I wish to thank all the people who helped me to reach this goal of joining the JAS Motorsport and ALM Motorsport programme for continuing my career in Europe,” said Montenegro.

“The TCR concept is also instrumental, because racing the same cars as the one I drove in TCR South America makes everything easier. I hope to be up to task of representing the Argentine colours at the best.”

Montenegro raced a Honda Civic Type R FK7 TCR for Squadra Martino in TCR South America this year, claiming the title with five victories and a total of seven podium finishes.

The Argentinian driver will race a new Honda Civic Type R FL5 TCR in TCR Europe and Spain next year as part of a joint junior talent programme between JAS Motorsport and ALM Motorsport.
