Jake Hill looking to build on standout Snetterton showing

Jake Hill is hoping to maintain his momentum from Snetterton this weekend as the British Touring Car Championship prepares to tackle the fastest circuit on the calendar, Thruxton.

The West Surrey Racing driver was one of the stars of the show last time out in Norfolk as he powered his BMW 330e M Sport to pole position, and then followed it up with two commanding lights-to-flag wins.

Hill came oh-so close to becoming just the third driver to win all three races in a day in the reverse grid finale, however his gamble to run wet tyres saw him drop down the order late on.

Clawing himself to within 11 points of the championship summit at Snetterton, the rear-wheel-drive ace is now fully focused on making further in-roads to those ahead of him this weekend.

Hill said: “We head to Thruxton on the back of a fantastic weekend at Snetterton where we showed what we are truly capable of! Away from the track, we’ve been working non-stop to ensure that we keep the momentum going and stay fighting at the front of the field.

We’ve always managed to secure strong points on our trips to Thruxton, the circuit isn’t the optimal track for our package but we’ll be working hard to extract everything we can. This weekend we’ll have to be at our very best once again as we know how competitive the grid is this year.”
