Un-Limited Motorsport plotting to expand BTCC operation in 2025
Un-Limited Motorsport with Duckhams Racing has outlined its intentions to expand its presence in the British Touring Car Championship, which includes the addition of a second entry in 2025 and the build of a competitive car.
Making their debut in the UK’s premier motorsport series with Daryl Deleon and a Cupra this year, the Independent squad has been consistently making progress and has already tallied a number of points finishes.
With just four events now remaining in the current campaign, attention is already beginning to turn towards next year, and the team have significant plans.
“This team wasn’t even thought of 12 months ago, and in January, we decided to compete at the pinnacle of British motorsport,” said Bob Sharpless, Un-Limited Motorsport Team Owner.
“We didn’t know how the results would go or how reliable the car would be. So far, the car’s been reliable. It may have been, up until Oulton Park, not quite quick enough, but we’ve shown good pace since then and we just want to keep building on that.
“For 2025, we want to have two cars out there. We would be delighted to keep Daryl and add another driver to the line-up, but we will see. That’s actively what we’re now starting to do: having conversations with drivers, partners, etc.
“We want to improve the car, make it faster, more drivable, and to have the budget to improve the car for next year and the remaining races of this season. We would love to get points everywhere. An independent win would be lovely, but points are the main achievement for now.”
