Jake Hill aiming high on milestone weekend at Knockhill
Jake Hill is aiming to bounce back from what he described as a ‘frustrating weekend’ at Croft as the British Touring Car Championship ventures north of the border to Knockhill.
The West Surrey Racing driver found himself in the thick of the action and off the podium last time out, which consequently dropped him to second in the standings behind Tom Ingram.
However as the series rolls into Scotland, Hill – who will compete in his 250th BTCC race in Sunday’s second contest – is revved up to close the gap at a circuit that has proven to a happy hunting ground in recent years.
“Croft was incredibly frustrating, but that’s in the past now and our full focus is on Knockhill,” said Hill.
“I took my first win here, had some of my best-ever weekends in the BTCC here too and I’ll be aiming for another like that this time. It’s quite funny to think that I’m about to hit 250 races in the BTCC.
“Every year’s been a building year and right now I feel I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been to win the championship and have the best car and people around me to help me achieve that.”
