Callum Newsham inherits race two win at Croft
Callum Newsham has been promoted into top spot in the second TCR UK race of the weekend at Croft after Adam Shepherd was excluded from the results.
Shepherd has continued his domination of the weekend after storming to victory in the reverse grid encounter, having earlier qualified on pole and then taken victory in race one on Saturday.
However, on his way through the field in race two, an incident on the exit of Tower had seen the similar Cupra of Steve Laidlaw tipped into a spin that saw him make heavy contact with the barriers before rejoining.
Understandably, the incident was referred to the Clerk of the Course, who elected to exclude Shepherd from the results after deeming him to be at fault,
It means Newsham is now promoted to victory, with Finn Leslie and Sam Laidlaw rounding out the podium spots.
