Three Portuguese entries joins FIA TCR World Tour grid in Vila Real

Three Portuguese entries will join the FIA TCR World Tour field on the streets of Vila Real this weekend for a total of 17 cars on the grid.

SP Compétition will expand to three Cupras as Manuel Fernandes jr, who tested for the team earlier this year, will join regular drivers Aurélien Comte and John Filippi.

Daniel Teixeira is going to drive a Hyundai Elantra N TCR for JT59 Racing Team. The Portuguese driver claimed the 2024 Iberian Supercars TCR category title and drove selected races in TCR Europe and TCR Spain last year.

Hill-climb specialist Michel Fernandes is going to race his Peugeot 308TCR at Vila Real for J. Santos Competição.

The other three guest entries outside of the FIA TCR World Tour regulars this weekend are GOAT Racing drivers Marco Butti (Honda) and Dušan Borković (Honda) as well as independent Lynk & Co driver Viktor Andersson of MA:GP.
