IP Tech reveal Cruze livery ahead of Oulton debut

The fledgling IP Tech Race Engineering team have revealed the livery for their new Chevrolet Cruze, which will race for the first time at Oulton Park this weekend in the hands of team owner Andy Neate.

Neate had initially planned to join the series at Donington Park, but took the decision to stay on the sidelines until the fourth meeting, to ensure the car was finished properly.

Neate tweeted earlier today that he is planning to test the Next Generation Touring Car machine on Friday before arriving at Oulton. His presence will take the grid up to 28 cars, just two shy of the maximum 30.

Neate also announced his title sponsor today, the famous music brand Marshall Amplification.

He said: “Everyone at IP Tech, and nobody more so than I, is totally overwhelmed to have a brand like Marshall – one of the world’s most iconic – associated with our team and with the BTCC.”

Neate will also show support for National Blood Week – an initiative close to hiss heart following the accident he suffered during a Britcar race at Silverstone in 2008, which left him needing several blood transfusions.

The ‘Give Blood’ logo will be displayed on the Cruze and on the arm of Neate’s race suit, in the same spot on the arm where a donor’s blood is drawn from.
